You Are Not Alone

Whatever it is that you are going through, you don’t have to go through it alone.

Are you or someone you love struggling with: anxiety, depression, stress, shame, trauma, grief, emotional expression or regulation, addiction, relationship conflict, career transitions, or spiritual crisis?

If so, this is not something you need to work through on your own. I have witnessed countless clients experience the freedom and peace they so longed for.

Meet

Darren Knight-Baughman, M.Div, M.Ed., Licensed Professional Counselor

Hello, my name is Darren. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Colorado with experience in the counseling field since the year 2009.  I have a Masters of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Masters of Education in Counseling and Career Development from Colorado State University.  I have had a counseling practice in Fort Collins since 2011 in which I have been able to walk alongside and provide support to scores of individuals and couples. I also had the privilege to serve as a hospice chaplain for 10 years where I learned how to care for those who were grieving and held a wide range of religious and spiritual beliefs.  I have enjoyed sharing my experience by having taught counseling classes to graduate students and providing supervision for interns and professional counseling candidates.

I would like to share with you a few  things about myself that may help you decide if I am the right counselor for you.

I genuinely care about my clients.  Compassion is at the center of my work with clients and past clients routinely comment on the compassionate care they receive from me.

Counseling is not just a job for me but a calling.  It is my passion to help people live their best life through finding healing and wholeness.

I have great respect for client’s religious beliefs and spiritual practices, even if they differ from my own.  My Christian faith and practices greatly influence my work and my support of clients; however, I do not impose them upon my client’s.  I am skilled at incorporating a persons’ spiritual practices into their healing process.

It is my desire to provide counseling that makes a real impact on people’s lives.  I work to achieve this through the multiple approaches I use in therapy and engaging in my own continuing education to help bring fresh information and insights into client’s lives.
